12th APDSC Congress 2021 Kish Island, Iran +
The 12th APDSC Congress was held in Kish Island, in 2021, during the global COVID-19 pandemic. The Congress proceeded in a hybrid format, with about 10 AP members attending physically, while most AP members participated via Zoom. This arrangement was necessary as some AP member countries were under strict COVID-19 restrictions and unable to travel overseas, while other countries had fewer restrictions and greater flexibility for international travel. It was a great and interesting experience to conduct the Congress through both physical attendance and online participation. However, managing communication during the Congress was very challenging due to the mixed format.
