Press Conference: Asia Pacific Deaf Multi-Sport Championships 2026

Asia Pacific Deaf Sports Confederation (APDSC) expresses its sincere appreciation to the Penang State Government, led by YB Gooi Zi Sen, Penang State Executive Councillor for Youth, Sports and Health, for its strong support towards the hosting of the Asia Pacific Deaf Multi-Sport Championships 2026.

The press conference marked an important milestone as Penang prepares to welcome the Asia Pacific Deaf Multi-Sport Championships 2026, taking place from 3–10 October 2026. The event reflects a shared commitment to promoting sporting excellence, friendship, and inclusion through Deaf sports.

APDSC was represented by Mr. Lim Heng Tuck, APDSC Treasurer, alongside Dr. Ong Shin Ruenn, President of the Malaysian Deaf Sports Association (MSDeaf), and Mr. Mohamad Nazrul Azwa bin Zulkipply, Assistant Secretary-General of MSDeaf.

APDSC also sincerely appreciates the Penang State Government’s allocation of RM250,000 in support of the championships, reflecting a strong commitment to inclusive sports and the successful delivery of an international-standard event.

Together with MSDeaf, APDSC looks forward to welcoming athletes, officials, and supporters to Penang in October 2026 as we celebrate excellence, unity, and the spirit of the Asia-Pacific Deaf community.
